Position Summary: The Director of Pastoral Care will love, lead, manage, and hold accountable all BRAVE  (Englewood Campus) Pastoral Care functions. These functions include (but not limited to) Baptisms,  Counseling, Weddings, Funerals, Hospital Visits, and Baby Dedications. Competencies vital for success in  this role include shepherding, team building, problem-solving, initiator, collaborator, and teacher. 

Reports To: Director of Ministries 

Status: Full-time Type: Employee/Salary Supervisory Role: No 

Profile: This person is a seasoned church leader that is elder qualified in accordance with 1 Timothy 3  and Titus 1. He is humble, trustworthy, flexible, meticulous, and hard-working. He is passionate about  advancing God's Kingdom, sold out for the mission of BRAVE Church, and urgent about seeing the gospel  go out all over the world. He must possess excellent administrative, managerial, organizational, and  leadership skills with exceptional interpersonal competencies. 

Responsibilities: The Director of Pastoral Care will: 

- Develop a culture of "pastoral care" that is rooted in the Gospel 

- Establish, maintain, and expand a counseling function for BRAVE Church including pre-marital,  marital, parental, recovery, etc. 

- Schedule, program, and lead overall facilitation of baptism services 

- Establish and maintain an elder/pastor rotation for weddings, funerals, hospitalizations, baptism  services, etc. 

- Work with BRAVE Groups to ensure care is provided within and throughout BRAVE Church - Create, maintain, and communicate a “pastoral care report” as requested by BRAVE elders - Develop and lead ministry teams necessary to facilitate ministries 

Qualifications: 

Full-Time Church Experience (5+ years minimum) 

Pastoral Counseling Education/Certification 

Pastoral Ordination (preferred) 

Theological Education (preferred) 

Strong interpersonal skills—ability to communicate persuasively and compassionately, both orally and in  writing. 

Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word & Excel 

Highly organized; flexible 

Exemplary oral & written skills 

Ability to multi-task 

Ability to maintain confidentiality
