Jemison Valley Church is a congregation located in the beautiful Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, a unique and spacious country setting. We are excited about our community and the opportunity to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ where we live and minister.
Our congregation of about 50 people includes a healthy variety of ages, backgrounds and life experiences that desire to work together for the glory of God and advancement of His Kingdom in our church and communities. We are a hopeful and expectant people whose hearts’ cry is to continue existing efforts to reach those apart from Jesus in our communities as well as to be inspired by a fresh/renewed vision. With a history of ministry to the youth and children in the region and a gymnasium at our facility, we feel uniquely positioned to offer engaging opportunities in an increasingly complex world.
We don’t want to minister exclusively within the walls of our facility but to reach out and meet people at their various points of need. The BIC Susquehanna Conference has recently committed to partnering with us in a focused 3-year revitalization plan, and we look forward to a cooperative effort to further ministry in our church and community.
We are seeking a lead pastor to raise up and develop leadership within the church body. We desire a candidate who is willing to meet and listen to people while imparting biblical wisdom and who is able to counsel people in their lives and faith journey. We are seeking a candidate who loves Jesus and lives a life that reflects Him, desires intentional relationship, and has the willingness to set roots in a deeply traditional area of Pennsylvania as the Holy Spirit directs in their lives.
