Job Description:
The pastor is responsible to the church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, administer the ordinances, watch over the congregation, promote the spiritual interests of the church and organize and develop its strengths for the best possible service.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct the worship services; prepare and deliver sermons; lead in observances of ordinances.
- Lead the church in an effective program of witnessing and in a caring ministry for persons in the church and community.
- Visit members and prospects
- Conduct counseling sessions; perform wedding ceremonies; conduct funerals.
- Act as the spiritual advisor to the church board
- Work with board members and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities.
- Attend church meetings as appropriate
