Calvary Chapel 14:6 is growing and we need more Pastors to serve God's people!

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Ast. Children's Pastor will support the Children's Pastor in the effective implementation of the strategic initiatives and vision of children's ministry, and give oversight to the administrative areas supporting evangelistic, discipleship, and maturation of Children ages 0 - 6th grade. The role will include leading and developing age-specific coordinators, administrative staff, and servant leaders in the department. There is a heavy focus on collaboration, implementing the planning, coaching, training, and inspecting for quality in each area of the ministry.  This role should be skilled in diplomatic communications and conflict resolution. The assistant children's Pastor will contribute to other pastoral duties as assigned to care for the congregation. The position reports directly to the Children's Pastor (CP) and Executive Pastor (EP). The salary for this position will be very good for an individual called to full-time children's ministry, who may possess the educational background but also lacks years-long experience in Children's ministry. We are looking to hire this person in the next 30-60 days and would need the individual and/or their family on-site this summer here in Arizona.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
:

  1. PLANNING – As a member of the Children's Pastoral staff your primary role will be to work alongside the Children's Pastor / Executive Pastor (EP) implementing the Lead Pastor's vision of discipleship and ministry development for children ages 0-6th grade.
  2. BUILDING A HIGH-IMPACT TEAM – recruit, train, and evaluate servant leaders who are interested in making an impact in the lives of children.  If necessary, take point on hiring, training, and evaluating staff as the children's ministry develops and grows in complexity and size.
  3. ADMINISTRATIVE OVERSIGHT – Supervise areas within the ministry as well as participate in leading the large gathering of children's services (three) on the weekends, while supporting the verse-by-verse discipleship on Wednesday night.
  4. APPRENTICE/DISCIPLESHIP – Foster an environment of apprenticeship and mentorship.
  5. STAFF DEVELOPMENT – Develop current and future leaders through proactive accountability, coaching, mentoring, and training.
  6. MOBILIZE RESOURCES – Support strategic initiatives, annual ministry plans, and ministry programs are appropriately dynamic, excellent in execution, and meeting discipleship goals (plans, people, and places for ministry).


QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Life exhibits the character and qualifications of a biblical elder (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1).
  • Experienced manager of people, structures, systems, and teams; including prior experience in a large church setting.
  • Experience in administrative responsibility for budgeting and planning for ministry growth at an institutional level.
  • Experience in overseeing and developing children's ministry programs (events, evangelism, discipleship, dynamic worship services).
  • Experience in planning and implementing strategic initiatives in a non-profit environment.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in children's ministry, church history, church ministries, theology, or equivalent ministerial degree.
  • 2-5+ years of experience leading within a children's ministry preferably in a larger church setting.
  • Familiarity with the leadership structure of Calvary Chapel Association and a Calvary Chapel church.
  • A life of service with the utmost integrity.


COMPENSATION

  • Starting Base Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
