Our Story:
In August 2018, Lead Pastor Dallas Freeland and his family felt the call to plant a new church in the Columbia, SC area that would challenge and inspire people living in the Bible Belt of America to arise and shine for Jesus according to Isaiah 60:1-2. We began with about 30 launch team members in our home sharing and casting vision during launch meetings. Prior to having our first service, God provided the resources for us to secure our own building and our team quickly went to work renovating it and preparing it for our first service. We launched in April 2019 and have been building a spirit-filled, multi-ethnic and multi-generational church that is committed to seeing disciples made, giftings activated, community established, kingdom leaders deployed and the lost saved.
Purpose of the Job:
- The role of the Worship Leader is to serve the congregation of Arise Church by leading them in the area of worship to encounter the presence of God. The Worship Leader also works with the Lead Pastor in overseeing and coordinating the worship ministry at Arise Church. The Worship Leader takes on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of the worship ministry and in result helping the church to continue to grow in health.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of worship leading in a local church.
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Ability to learn and use Planning Center.
- Proficiency in voice and guitar.
- Ability to create, coordinate and lead a worship experience with a team.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
Style of Worship
We are looking for someone who is passionate in leading and engaging people in worship in addition to having a high standard when it comes to the quality of music. The style and songs we do can be found in music like Hillsong, Elevation, Maverick City, Mosaic, River Valley Worship, Gateway Worship, etc.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Function as the Worship Leader at Arise Church & help to oversee future campuses.
- Lead and manage the Arise Church Worship and A/V teams.
- Oversee the coordination of Arise Church events that involve worship/music elements.
- Oversee the scheduling for the Arise Church Worship Team.
- Oversee the culture, vision, structures and systems of Arise Church Worship.
- Plan and implement Arise Church Worship projects and department goals.
- Fulfill the requirements and faithfully perform the duties of a ministry servant at Arise Church to the best of their ability.
- Ability to identify and flow with the Holy Spirit within unique and special worship encounters during services.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pastoral care and administrative duties.
- Lead a small group.
- Attend staff and leadership meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
