The city of Defiance is positioned halfway between Toledo, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana. The city, with a population of a little under 20,000 people, represents a unique ministry opportunity. A dynamic, life-giving church bringing hope to a city that needs it.
The church has strong conviction and clarity around the mission and vision. The right next Production Director will be stepping in to an organization ready to take the team and their gorgeous state-of-the-art facility to the next level.
Xperience Church is a passionate and intentional community of people who are committed to loving and serving God, their neighbors and their city. From the beginning, the church has focused on being Real and Life-giving, reaching those who do not know God personally with Outward Reaching ministry initiatives. Xperience Church was founded in 2012 with the intention of being a Spirit-Powered church for people who weren’t that in to church. After being portable for 7 years, the organization moved into their current building, debt free, 2 years ago. Located within the local mall, their 46,000 square foot facility contains a 800 seat main auditorium and impeccably curated community spaces and children’s environments. The future is incredibly bright for this dynamic, growing team.
The next Production Director will enjoy a strong working relationship with the Creative Arts Pastor Nick Hill, as well as the rest of the leadership team. There is a solid foundation for the right candidate to build upon in terms of contractors and volunteers that make up the Production Team. The right candidate will bring a balanced combination of professional level execution and passion for the local church.
The AVL system that the next Production Director will inherit is brand new. It’s been fully upgraded and integrated by the team at Summit, out of Denver. The style of the weekend experience and the organizational brand is modern, fresh and passion infused. There is a strong value in creating weekend experiences where God’s Word is taught in a way that is practical and relevant, and that the worship culture is engaging, authentic and dynamic. The right next leader will need to be an established, winning player and coach. Someone deeply experienced in the live production world from AVL design and integration, to weekend and event execution, to broadcast and prepackaged content. That will be the win!
An Event Producer – The ideal candidate will be someone who sees the big picture clearly. They will have a deep understanding of the AVL systems, processes and personnel it takes to execute a world class weekend experience and online broadcast content.
A Proven Coach – The ideal candidate will be someone who has been doing it at a high level for a long time. They will have spent significant time leading teams of production technicians in a context of similar size and scope. The value of experience and talent cannot be overstated for this role.
A Thoughtful Leader – The ideal candidate will be someone who makes decisions in a timely manner that reflects the vision and values of the organization. They will design clear courses of action and implement steps with measurable goals that move the production team forward.
A Growing Creative – The ideal candidate will be someone who is deeply committed to learning and growing. They will identify as a life-long student of their craft, leadership development and faith.
A Futuristic Thinker – The ideal candidate will be someone who has their pulse on what's next in the world of production. They will have the ability to see outside of their own silo and speak in to the global creative department integration of the organization at large.
