Calvary Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, Idaho is seeking a full-time Worship Pastor who has a passion to lead people to glorify Jesus. 

Who is Calvary Baptist?

Calvary Baptist was founded in 1951 by a small group of mission-minded believers who were responsible for planting several churches in Idaho.  Calvary is a theologically conservative, multigenerational group of about 200 people with various backgrounds, ethnicities, and economic levels.  Calvary is filled with people who love God’s word and who want to live out Jesus’ mission of making disciples of all nations.  Calvary is currently involved in

• Multiple new church starts
• Local missions to our community
• International mission partnerships

Who do we seek as a Worship Pastor?

We are looking for a musically trained; strong vocalist and proficient musician who is called by God to lead in corporate worship.  We desire a man:

• After God’s own heart who has a love for God’s word
• With a desire to reach people with the good news of Jesus
• To lead Calvary in a blended style of worship
• Who is willing and able to lead in other ministries of the church
• That cares for God’s people and will encourage them in their walk with the Lord

What are the desired qualifications?

• Meet the requirements of an Elder as presented in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Musically trained, strong vocalist and proficient musician
• Bachelor’s degree and theological training is preferred
• Three to five years ministry experience
• Technical proficiency in sound, live-streaming, web applications, social media, etc.

What is Idaho Falls like?

Idaho Falls is a rapidly growing community of about 90,000 people located in the heart of the Famous Idaho Potato country.  Idaho Falls is where many work in nuclear engineering and research at the Department of Energy Idaho National Laboratory.  Our community is a true mission field with about 60 percent of the population being members of the LDS church.  Idaho Falls is less than five percent evangelical Christian. 

People come to Idaho Falls to enjoy the outdoors.  Idaho Falls is a gateway to world-class trout fishing, skiing, and other outdoor activities.  We are located near some of the most beautiful places in the world including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks.
