We are a well-established church that has been worshiping in Lynn Haven for over 100 years. We were a small congregation until the early 2000’s when we began to grow significantly to a membership of over 1,500. We relocated to a 40-acre campus in 2006 and then purchased an indoor sports facility as a second campus in 2012. In the fall of 2018, Hurricane Michael destroyed both of our campuses and, after two years worshiping in a school gym, we are now in a 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Currently, we have roughly 50% of our attendees worshiping with us online.The Technical Director will support the vision of LHUMC by leading and directing the creative ministries of the church, including worship production, video content, and A/V technical support.
The Role Will:
Be responsible for the planning and execution of technical elements of all worship services, including sound and lighting mixes, A/V equipment setup, and live stream feeds both internal and external.
Participate in worship planning meetings and develop and implement ideas that enhance the worship experience.
Organize and lead A/V techs and production assistants.
Recruit and train servants to meet A/V and digital production needs.
With input from the Worship Minister and Communications Director, oversee the creation of design graphics, staging, lighting, and elements for worship, and ensure high-quality streaming and recording of services.
Assist the Communications Director with social media, website design, printed materials, and digital content.
Provide input to the Worship Minister for the annual worship ministries budget and manage expenditures related to the creative ministries.
Oversee the purchase and maintenance of all equipment needed for worship production and communications.
Provide multi-media support for other ministries and church-sponsored/approved activities.
Perform basic IT support for church staff.
Serve as a dedicated team member, assisting with other ministries as needed by the Lynn Haven UMC team and/or assigned by the Executive Pastor.
Uphold the Staff Covenant.
Salary Range
$50-$55k based on qualifications and experience
