Full-Time Community Life Pastor
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary based on experience / qualifications

Position Overview:
Vineyard Community Church in Overland Park, KS is seeking a pastoral leader who sees their love relationship with Jesus as their first-order calling, who clearly communicates a vision for a life with God and the importance of authentic spiritual community
as a foundation to ministry; who inspires others, by example and word, to explore a deepening personal relationship with Jesus. Preaching and coaching and developing volunteer small group leaders and facility team members, and fostering a Christ-centered
culture where people of all ages and walks can deeply embrace and pursue their love relationship with Jesus are all central to this role. If you’re looking for a challenging opportunity to grow and stretch in the gifting God has given you, then you should

Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years preaching experience in the church (we’re looking for someone who’s preached 100 times or more).
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of pastoral ministry experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Gifts
- Established preaching skills, displaying a confident grasp of hermeneutics, homiletics, and public speaking presentation.
- A calling to preach.
- Strong leadership skills rooted in a pastoral heart and love for people.
- A demonstrable leadership calling.
- The ability to lead a team of volunteers and work effectively with staff and leadership teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to effectively schedule, organize, and coordinate ministry and facilities teams.
- Training in Bible and theology preferred.

- Loves sharing ministry with others, demonstrating a desire to raise up volunteers and allowing them to share in the ministry of the church.
- Lives a devotional life, demonstrated by regularly spending time with God through the spiritual disciplines (prayer, Bible, lectio divina, silence, solitude, etc.).
- Exhibits an attitude of life-long learning, demonstrated by a desire to learn and grow in your skills and gifting, to graciously give and receive feedback, and always seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus.
- Has a teachable spirit, demonstrating humility and willingness to submit to the guidance of the Lead Pastor and staff leaders.
- Gets along well with others, demonstrating a mature spirit for dealing with conflict in a direct and godly manner, with a heart for peacemaking and reconciliation.
- Invests in the life of the church, demonstrated by attendance at worship services, interaction with the congregation, and investing in the discipleship of key volunteer leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be an active member of the preaching team, preaching in a regular rotation throughout the year.
- Oversee VCC’s small group system, including recruiting, training, development, and pastoral care of leaders and volunteers.
- Oversee VCC’s facilities, coordinating maintenance and repair of church facilities.
