Job Description:

The Youth/Young Adult Pastor will be a champion of the next generation, which includes middle school, high school and college students.  

 

Candidate attributes:

Leader:  gifted in leading and empowering people and developing teams.  Someone who has the ability to rally and mobilize people together around a common goal.

Problem-solver:  Views problems as opportunities and is solution-oriented.

Healthy family:  Lead yourself & family well by carefully prioritizing personal worship, scripture reading and obedient lifestyle of “living intentional” as a Jesus follower.

 

Ministry Responsibilities:

Provide overall vision and leadership to the students, and young adults that will encourage spiritual growth.

Foster an invitational culture that mobilizes students and young adults to reach those outside the church.

Develop and implement ministry plan that helps encourage the next generation to take next steps on their spiritual journey.

Build extraordinary volunteer teams to help foster relationships with the students to ensure they are known and cared for.

Develop small groups that will assist students in growing in community and in faith.

Disciple youth and young adults and develop their leadership skills as you develop a youth and young adult leadership team.

Build the value of life-long service to others through local and global outreach opportunities for students and young adults.

Partner with parents in strategic ways that encourages them and help them to provide spiritual guidance and direction for their kids.
