7 CITY CHURCH'S CULTURE:
- Vision: We are All In – We are all in on 7 City’s vision. We love the vision more than the position we play or the ideas we have.
- Trust: We assume the Best – We seek to build trust with one another by being trustworthy, honest, competent, and reliable. We believe the best about each other, avoid suspicion, and lovingly confront gaps if there’s ever
an erosion of trust.
- Health: We Play the Long Game – We believe healthy leaders build healthy teams. We play the long game with a rhythm that allows us to win today and for a lifetime. Our rhythm maximizes spiritual, relational, mental, emotional, and physical
health.
- Stewardship: We Remember the Owner – We understand that God owns it all. Therefore, we take seriously the wise stewardship of time, talent, and money with the true Owner’s interests in mind. We don’t whine about what we don’t have; we do
our very best with what God has entrusted to us.
- Leadership: We are “Developers” not “Doers” – We don’t hire “doers,” we hire “developers.” Our commitment to recruit, build, and develop leaders is essential. There’s too much ministry for our staff to spend all their time “doing.” Instead,
we develop people, build teams, and multiply leaders.
- Initiative: We Act Now – We don’t wait to be told what to do. We take initiative to solve problems and make things happen. If we fail, we own it. Even if it’s not my fault, it is my problem. We are prompt, proactive, and on-time.
- Growth: We Close the Gap – We close the growth gap between who we are and who we can be. We exhibit an aggressive learning posture by growing in self-awareness, welcoming candid feedback, developing growth plans, and regularly engaging
growth resources.
- Humility: It’s Not About Me – Pride builds monuments, but humility builds ministry. We’re not about silo thinking or platform building. It’s not about me and it’s not about you; it’ about protecting our hearts as we humbly pursue God and
His vision for 7 City.
