Communications & Graphic Design Coordinator (15 Hours/Week – $17/Hour)
Description: To be responsible for both the communications and graphics needs of New Life Community Church, a multi-ethnic church of 700-800 in the diverse city of Aurora, CO.
Qualifications:
- A committed Christian who sees this role as an important ministry calling within the church
- A relational individual able to handle church and non-church individuals with courtesy, love, and respect.
- A mature individual able to handle a variety of concurrent job requests.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Create “Announcement and Prayer” slides for Sunday services
- Create and post the “Digital Bulletin” each week
- Create and hang posters for upcoming events classes
- Aggregate and send “Tuesday News” and “Weekend News” emails each week
- Update electronic sign as needed
- Post sermons to archives page each week
- Work with ministry leaders and pastors to keep web site current
- Quarterly, work with Preaching team to create all materials to support new sermon series
- Create Adult Deeper Life and Life Group booklets as needed
- Occasional banner creation for special events, parking lot poles, etc.
- Develop and execute a Social Media strategy to promote, advertise, and publish events and activities at New Life
Requirements:
- Very familiar with Adobe Photoshop
- Very familiar with web editing in Squarespace
- Familiar with Publisher
- Very familiar with posting on social media sites
- Familiar with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required
Note: We are open to breaking this position into separate communications and graphics responsibilities if this seems to be the best option.
