Central Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky is seeking an associate pastor who will oversee the worship and media programs of the church. This associate pastor would both shepherd the congregation and assist the senior pastor while leading the worship team,
choir, musicians, and AV/production team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with senior pastor to plan the musical portion of each service
- Conduct band and choir practices
- Recruit and train musicians
- Lead the congregation in worship
- Oversee the AV/production volunteers
- Develop volunteers spiritually in addition to technical training
- Work closely with lay leadership in setting up the physical environment of the auditorium that encourages an attitude of awe and worship (proper lighting, stage decoration and/or props, etc.)
- Assist the senior pastor in caring out pastoral care duties of the congregation (hospital visits, phone calls, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Pastoral heart
- Proficient musical skill and lead voice
- Experience directing a choir
- Able to lead a band during worship
- Familiar with live streaming platforms
- Be a team-player that actively seeks to develop the congregation to serve
- In agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000
- Theological training is preferred
- Experience with Planning Center and ProPresenter is preferred
