Senior Pastor

Wakeshma Community Church is in the process of seeking the Lord’s will in filling the position of Senior Pastor.  We are looking for a skilled Bible teacher to help us to grow and thrive in our community as an evangelical Christian, inter-denominational Bible based church.  The candidate should be strong in their faith and be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship and relationship building. Preference would be given to a Pastor who has proven ability to grow a church by building up their worship, family, and outreach ministries. Excellent communicator, forward visionary, and someone who builds long lasting relationships.  The perfect candidate would have several years’ experience as a lead or associate Pastor. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. Our Church’s mission is for people to “Come See Hope, Experience Love, and Discover Your Purpose.”  Wakeshma Community Church’s vision is to have a Pastor who will empower God’s people to Grow, Go, and Share the faith, hope, and love of Jesus. We are a 135-year-old, rural church located between several small towns in Southwest Michigan. Located near Battle Creek and Kalamazoo/Portage Michigan. Our area has great public and Christian school options as well as strong home schooling family support groups.  We will offer a salary and benefit package depending on the candidate’s qualifications and includes use of our 4-5 bedroom parsonage.
