Youth Minister

Purpose:  To impact lives for the Kingdom of God through Simonton Community Church, especially through the Youth Ministry.

Ministry Responsibilities:

• To oversee and develop the entire Youth Ministry, which includes everyone in grades 7 through 12.
• To develop strong relationships with the youth and their families in order to have a greater impact in their lives for Christ.
• To coordinate, plan, and communicate all of the ministries related to Youth Ministry and to work through the Youth Leadership Team.
• To manage the budget for Youth Ministry according to principles given.
• To administrate a Biblically-based and professional Youth Ministry that fits in with the overall ministry of this church.

Other Responsibilities:

• To be involved in all church staff duties, including meetings and being present at various functions.
• To discover what gifts and abilities the Lord has given him and use those for His glory in the capacity of this church.
• To professionally handle all other duties as assigned by the Family Pastor.

An annual review will be conducted by the Family Pastor.

Christian & Called to ministry - passionate

Compatible theological background

Prefer Married, and not divorced

Experienced in full time Youth Ministry

Loves Jesus and loves teenagers

Be the face of our Youth Ministry

Able to teach the Bible to our teenagers

Establish solid team of volunteers

Servant Heart & a worshipper

Spends time with youth & families outside of church

Relate well to young families

Develop strong parent communication / connections

Dynamic / Organized / Out-going / Shows Compassion

Self-motivated / Genuine / Humble / Creative / Fun

Media / Social Media / Tech savvy

Work well with the rest of our Staff Team

Be willing and flexible to work with the staff in finding creative solutions for space issues brought on by growth
