Emmanuel Faith Community Church is a large, growing church in North San Diego County that is deeply committed to creatively serving and reaching the unchurched in its multiethnic community. Director/Pastor of Community Outreach will effectively
maximize EFCC’s impact in the community and mobilize its members to live on mission and make disciples where God has placed them. He/she will join the EFCC's Outreach Team and provide visionary, strategic leadership to a large local outreach ministry with
significant collaborative partnerships in the community.

PURPOSE: Director/Pastor of Community Outreach maximizes EFCC’s Kingdom impact in the community and mobilizes each member to live on mission wherever God has placed them.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide leadership to all EFCC-led community outreach ministries, events and projects
- Ensures alignment of all community outreach ministries, events and projects with EFCC’s vision, mission, values and goals.
- Oversee coordination and promotion of all community outreach events and projects.
- Develop new outreach ministries that effectively meet community needs and engage EFCC members in meaningful service.
- Identify, equip and deploy new outreach ministry leaders and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, support and pastoral care for community outreach ministry leaders and their teams.
- Oversee EFCC’s community outreach partnerships
- Cultivate relationships with community leaders and key stakeholders such as local government officials, community organizations, schools, nonprofits and other faith communities.
- Establish collaborative partnerships and projects that ensure EFCC is effectively serving the community and leveraging opportunities for Gospel engagement and Kingdom impact.
- Perform regular on-site visits and 1:1s with community outreach partners.
- Assess partner effectiveness and alignment. Provide leadership coaching, pastoral care and logistical support to partners as needed.
- Maximize opportunities to promote EFCC in the community.
- Partner with Pastor of Outreach Ministries to mobilize, equip and deploy all EFCC members to live on mission and make disciples wherever God has placed them:
- Assist Pastor of Outreach Ministries in developing and implementing church-wide strategies that maximize EFCC’s impact in the local community and cultivate a culture of lifestyle evangelism and creative missional engagement that transforms culture.
- Model and equip EFCC community with biblically based, culturally relevant and reproducible strategies for evangelism, missional living and service where they live, work and play.
- Ensure that appropriate and actionable evangelism and outreach opportunities are available to all members of the EFCC community.
- Develop and oversee culturally relevant opportunities for unbelievers to explore Christianity and connect to the EFCC community.
- Serve as the Community Outreach liaison with all EFCC worship venues and ministries:
- Collaborate with all venue and ministry leaders on developing new community outreach opportunities that effectively reach their target audience and help them connect to the EFCC community.
- Ensure alignment of all community outreach initiatives across all venues and ministries with church-wide goals, schedule and communication strategies.
- Equip all worship venues and ministries with best practices in evangelism, missional living and outreach.
- Assist in venue hosting and preaching/teaching as needed.
- Manage the Community Outreach budget and financial commitments to local partners, events and projects.
- Collaborate with the Pastor of Outreach Ministries on establishing annual goals, strategies, metrics and budget for Community Outreach.
- Evaluate all funding requests for their alignment with EFCC’s goals and best practices in community outreach.
- Track progress of all funded partners, events and projects, ensuring delivery of desired outcomes, timely reporting and fiscal accountability.
- Leverage EFCC’s network to maximize external funding opportunities.
- Serve as a member of the Outreach Ministry Team, collaborating on and assisting with other responsibilities, projects and events as needed.
- Be available to provide care for the congregation-at-large through general and premarital counseling, officiating at weddings and funerals, visiting and teaching

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Reports to Pastor of Outreach Ministries
- Serves as a member of the Outreach Team.
- Collaborates with other departments and ministry leaders in community outreach and evangelism.
- Cultivates relationships with external community partners and stakeholders.
OTHER:
- Works a schedule and receives time off and other benefits as outlined in the

- Serves on team and committees as assigned.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
Must be willing to further develop skills and expertise in his/her areas of responsibility through personal study, regular participation in our worship services, and participation in appropriate conferences and seminars.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Commitment to EFCC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, Vision and Values.
- Passion for evangelism and community outreach demonstrated in personal life and through prior ministry experience.
- Spiritual maturity, Christ-like character and a track record in spiritually developing others.
- Humility and servant leadership demonstrated in prior ministry experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in mobilizing, training and empowering volunteers.
- Ability to collaborate and effectively manage concurrent projects and events with a variety of stakeholders involved.
- Strong communication, teaching and interpersonal skills. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Experience working with adults in a managerial role and proven administrative ability.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to function independently and ability to speak and write on matters relating to church administration, management, and stewardship; Physically able to lift to 35 lbs. (with or without assistance). This position also may require prolonged periods
of sitting, standing up and walking.

All employees of Emmanuel Faith Community Church are at-will, and as such, are free to resign any time without reason. Emmanuel Faith Community Church, likewise, retains the right to terminate an employee’s employment at any time with or without reason
or notice.
