The Worship Pastor at Midlothian Bible church is someone with a deep love for Jesus Christ and His people; someone who has musical skills with a passion for music and the role it plays in congregational worship; someone who is creative and is able to use that skill to draw others to and engage them with the greatness of God; someone who is able to lead themselves, the worship team, and the congregation in contemporary, reverent worship; someone who is able to thrive in a team environment; someone who is able to envision, energize, and create a sacred space on Sunday mornings and other worship services for our congregation to engage with God; and someone who loves the local church and is eager to use other areas of gifting and passion to build up Christ's body of believers and help reach our community with the Gospel.
The lens of Midlothian Bible Church is focused on one hero: Jesus. We believe he is good for our city, our families, and our lives. We aim to bring people together through the Gospel and build mature followers of Christ. In a city of exciting transition, we are often distracted by the flash and promise of good opportunities. Our desire is to pursue something lasting and something great: the unchanging worth of God and the unstoppable mission of Jesus.
Our overarching strategy to accomplish this missIon is to help people:
• Believe the Gospel of Christ and the whole counsel of His Word.
• Belong to the community of Christ.
• Build up our walk with Christ.
• Be Strong in the mission of Christ.
As Jesus changes us, our lives reflect his gracious character. We believe He empowers His people to:
• Love God (Worshiping, Trusting, Obeying)
• Invest in Others (Serving, Relating, Discipling)
• Follow His Word (Studying, Relying on the Spirit to apply, Sharing)
• Engage our World with the Gospel (Loving, Showing, Communicating)
