About Eastmont Church

Eastmont Church was planted in 1980 by a group of seven families that wanted to see the Gospel proclaimed in Bend, Oregon. God’s faithfulness to Eastmont has been evident through times of growth and times of decline. Currently, the church is growing (hosting about 1700 attenders each Sunday) and has been in a season of growth for the past few years. We are thankful for this season, but we also know that our goal is to be faithful in every season. Our goal isn’t to grow or make a name for our church, but instead to continue on in faithfulness no matter what God brings us. Our leadership teams are unified in vision and mission and our church environment is warm and friendly. We teach expositionally through the Bible and worship with modern songs and hymns alike. We are blessed to be a very intergenerational church, with 200-250 kids in our children’s ministry, and also a good number of retired folks who are active and involved in church life.

Bend is a beautiful area where the outdoors is an obvious draw for many people. You can be in the mountains in 30 minutes or less for skiing, hiking, camping, or biking. We encourage our staff to work hard during work days, but also to enjoy God’s creation that surrounds us. With significant growth in population, many of Bend’s residents are transplants from other areas. This brings with it a significant opportunity to reach people who are looking for community and are in need of a Savior. In all of this our hope is that we build on the faithfulness of the saints that went before us, and remain faithful to Jesus, His Word, and the church as we pass our faith off to generations to come.
