Worship Director

The Worship Director will cultivate, produce, and execute excellent worship experiences at River of Life Church. This includes music, visual, and digital, as an integral part of all worship and ministry activities.  This includes creating worship experiences on Sunday’s, Wednesday’s, and any other day when River of Life Church engages in corporate worship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create worship experiences that place the focus on Jesus and engages the Spirit within the souls of the worshippers.
• Oversee and manage all worship experiences for River of Life Church
• Develop and establish, along with the Senior Pastor & Youth Pastor an environment of active worship engagement on Sundays and Wednesdays.
• Provide leadership and vision for the worship staff and volunteer leaders.
• Build and oversee all creative worship teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recruit, develop, and train worship teams and team members as needed to meet the worship music needs of River of Life Church.
• Provide discipleship to worship teams members to encourage them to a deeper level of spiritual formation and engagement.
• Assist in the management of the budget and financial needs in regards to the creative and worship requirements of River of Life Church.
• Attend staff meetings and staff development events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a born-again believer and be committed to maturing in their walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Fully endorse and follow the EFCA Statement of Faith, ROL Constitution, Mission, Vision, and values.
• An inspirational leader who is excellent at team-building using the church body (volunteers): recruiting, and equipping singers, musicians, soundboard and video/lighting people.
• Musically and vocally gifted.
• Technical ability around sound (audio), video (camera, projection, streaming, etc.) lighting, including lighting design and visual (stage) design.
• Familiar with Planning Center, ProPresenter, and Vista lighting software desired.
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Strong computer and technology knowledge and skills.
• Ability to equip and empower and motivate leaders.
• Maintain integrity regarding sensitive and/or confidential matters.
• Ability to build, implement, and release teams; staff or volunteer.
• Faithful stewardship with tithing as the norm.
• High level of integrity fueled by a daily time with God.
