The Associate Pastor of Worship and Adult Ministry is responsible for providing worship oversight for the church’s corporate worship services under the supervision of and cooperation with the Senior Pastor. This position is also responsible to lead and teach a young family life group. This person should be someone who is assured in his personal relationship with Christ and is growing and maturing as a disciple. He should have a definite call on his life for vocational ministry and be well grounded in academic training, doctrinal stability and total commitment.
We are looking for someone who has at a minimum a bachelor’s degree, a good communicator and most importantly loves the Lord. We prefer our candidate to have the ability to play either the keyboard or guitar, but this is not mandatory. Must have the ability to work with people and understand priorities. This is a Pastoral level position so we do and will follow 1 Timothy 3.
The Worship Pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church has a clear call to be the spiritual and organizational pastor who oversees the Worship/Adult Ministry of Hillcrest as we seek to fulfill our vision to lift our city and the world by generously giving the gospel of Jesus Christ. This vital role will provide vision and direction for two distinct worship services, classic and contemporary, with a heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation and music ministry.
Hillcrest is a vibrant, church in Richmond IN, that was started in 1964 by Pastor Frank Holman. Since that time, the church has been marked by growth adding a second service in 2005, multiple missionary and pastors to the work.
