Student Ministries Pastor

Glad Tidings Church is an Assemblies of God, multi-campus church located in Muncie, IN that is made up of people from over fifteen different church traditions. Consequently we utilize a ministry philosophy that is balanced and seeks to engage believers in faith essentials with primary focus given to the teaching of God’s Word. The congregation currently worships among 2 campuses during 3 Sunday services with an average attendance of nearly 800 each Sunday morning.

Candidate would be expected to develop programs for youth that provide meaningful ministry, allow the opportunity for students to worship God sincerely, grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God’s Word, and connect in meaningful and healthy relationships with other young people and adults. They would also have some oversight responsibilities of lay leaders and staff for all student ministry programs. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan and carry out well developed worship and teaching services for youth that model the highest level of excellence.
• Oversee midweek services for students in junior high and senior high school.
• Plan and carry out outreach and fellowship events for students in junior high and senior high school.
• Recruit and train all youth volunteers, teachers, and chaperones.
• Connect with and provide pastoral care for students and their families and share in overall pastoral care duties with other staff members.

Personal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Demonstrates spiritual and personal maturity, a disciplined lifestyle, and godly character
• Possess a deep love for and passion to teach the Word of God
• Willingness to enjoin the vision, mission, and values of Glad Tidings Church
• Demonstrates a love and passion for teens and a desire to shepherd them

Compensation

• Salary dependent upon experience
