Join a dynamic, growing church in the heart of Texas! 1 hour north of Austin and 2 hours south of Dallas, Confidential Church in Belton is looking for an outgoing, motivated Youth Pastor.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Youth Pastor is responsible for designing, coordinating and overseeing a comprehensive youth ministry program focused on building young disciples for Christ. Areas of focus include group building, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach. Serve as an
engaging spiritual leader and role model with strong biblical background.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
• Lead a team of volunteers in the operation of a youth ministry, including weekend services and periodic special events.
• Serve as youth advocate and champion, educating and enlightening the ministry team on the hopes, concerns and needs of the youth in the local church and community.
• Plan, develop and implement programs and events for an effective youth ministry.
• Manage and compile youth ministry budget for reporting expenses.
• Stay informed of new resources and changes in youth ministry and youth culture. Adjust ministry efforts to accommodate these changes.
• Maintain accurate records of youth participation and life events.
• Communicate with church leadership staff, parents and congregation in a timely manner utilizing available resources (email, website, social media, newsletter, etc.)
• Maintain a flexible schedule that allows for attendance at specific events for the youth (sports games, competitions, times of crisis etc.).
• Develop effective discipleship program for youth.
• Preach and teach biblically sound sermons and Bible studies.
• Function as a member of the church’s Pastoral Staff performing baptism services, weddings, funerals, etc. as part of a rotation schedule.
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a youth pastor. Possession of a Youth Ministry or related degree is required. The successful individual will be a strong leader with a solid work ethic, possess a passion for teaching youth about God,
and can administrate as a department head.
