Eaton Community Church is an active, mid-size church located in Eaton, Ohio. With a recently launched vision for God’s call upon our church, we are seeking to follow our mission of “Sharing Life and Sharing Christ”. We serve to create discipleship
environments that support this mission to Eaton and surrounding communities. We are seeking to add a full-time Associate Pastor to our staff to equip and empower disciples that make disciples in the Worship Arts Ministry and additionally throughout the church
with leadership and teaching.
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for the full-time role of Associate Pastor who exhibit the following:
- Devoted believer and follower of Jesus Christ
- Spiritual Gifts of Leadership, Shepherding and Discernment are helpful
- Interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with congregation, ministry volunteers and leadership in problem solving and decision making
- Support the overall vision and mission of the church through goal setting and accountability with other staff
- Encourage & Equip disciples to walk in personal daily relationship with Christ
- Equip volunteers to serve in Worship Arts Ministry, including leadership development to expand ministry and involvement in coordination with the Worship Arts Team
- Nurture and create environments that encourage relationships over programming and that nurture the values of our church to make disciples
- The ability to lead ministry teams by inviting and developing volunteers, as well as facilitating a team-based approach within those volunteers to maintain unity and focus on the vision and task of the ministry
Functions of the Associate Pastor include, but are not limited to the following: Worship Arts Leadership, Discipleship/Preaching/Teaching:
Music and Worship Ministry:
- Provide effective leadership and oversight of the Worship Arts Ministry
- Meet regularly with worship arts team leaders for planning, support and evaluation
- Select, create, and develop worship elements in coordination with preaching staff
- Lead regularly from the platform
- Train musicians and/or provide opportunities and resources for training and development
Discipleship/Preaching/Teaching:
- Assist in overall spiritual development of disciples that make disciples through ECC
- Serve in the Sunday morning preaching role up to 6 times a year as a part of the pastoral preaching staff
- Assist the Sr. Pastor in developing sermon topics and sermon series throughout the year
- Provide pastoral support to other ministries as needed
- Teach class electives as needed
Video/Media Communication
- Develop and oversee use of video for announcements, promotions, and general communication.
