Position Overview

Responsible for the spiritual development of First Assembly of God's children

 

Principal Accountabilities

 

  • Supports the children’s ministry by developing programs and events that cater to the spiritual and social needs of children within the church.
  • Coaches, mentors and develops the teachers and leaders of children, including planning and providing classes for continued development in their roles.
  • Researches and selects age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Works with coordinators to develop volunteer curriculum training.
  • Serves as after-hour pastoral support for church members.
  • Ensures fiscal responsibility and adheres to departmental budget.
  • Performs other duties the Senior Pastor requests.

 

 

Job Skills & Requirements
  • This is not another job - You must have a 'calling' to Children's Ministry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • 3-5 years of related experience in a church setting

 

Educational Requirement
  • High School Education
  • AOG Ministry Credentials (Certified or greater), or the willingness to pursue them
