Part-time Worship Leader Position

GENERAL INFORMATION

Chandler First Assembly of God (CFA) is looking for a part-time worship leader with the potential of becoming a full-time worship pastor as the church grows. This position does not require office hours during the day, but the staff member will be expected to connect with the lead pastor weekly, and manage the worship ministry, which currently consists of the following schedule:

• Wednesday Night Service, 7-8pm (call time/warmup 6:15pm)
• Sunday Service, 10:30-12:00pm (call time/rehearsal 8:30am)

For these services, CFA will pay $19,500 per year, or ($375/week).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

• Must maintain a growing walk with Jesus Christ and meet the qualifications of an elder as set forth in Titus 1:5-9
• Must maintain a positive attitude about yourself and others
• Must have solid vocal abilities, play a lead instrument (such as the guitar or keyboard) and growing in skill; able to direct and develop others musically and spiritually
• Must maintain a high level of excellence in everything; be a hard worker
• Must be a reader, as you will be assigned reading material and expected to discuss
• Must be able to manage an entire music ministry, give oversight to all music and service production, schedule team members (we use Planning Center Online for worship and team management), communicate well, recruit new talent, work with a budget, etc.
• Must understand how to be accountable and serve under a lead pastor’s vision and leadership

VISION FOR THE POSITION

Presently, the role is part-time and includes the services listed above. At the worship leader’s discretion, there may be additional practices for special events—Christmas, Easter, training events, etc., all for the purpose of a great worship experience. Should the regular schedule of services expand, appropriate changes in pay will be evaluated and discussed to compensate for the additional workload and responsibility. The rate of pay will be commensurate with church growth and available budget. Our goal is to eventually make this a full-time position with a fair market rate of pay (with additional benefits).
