COCOA - The Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church is accepting applications for
a Senior Pastor to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the membership of
the church in Cocoa, Florida.
The Senior Pastor will serve as the chief administrator of the 150-member congregation
so that it might fulfill its mission and purpose as the body of Christ. The Senior Pastor
will preach, teach and administer the Sacraments and give primary leadership in the
ministries of worship, administration, stewardship and outreach.
The qualified candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Senior
Pastor and must have demonstrated the ability to develop, communicate and implement
a vision for church growth. Seminary/college graduates preferred and will accept
applications from soon-to-be seminary/college graduates or seminary-trained applicants
from an accredited school.
Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church operates on their five principles of fellowship,
discipleship, stewardship, evangelism and Christian diplomacy. The church has formed
a committee to aid in the appointment process. The Pastoral Search Committee will
review applications, interview candidates and make recommendations to the general
membership of the church for final voting. Qualified candidates who seek appointment
