New Hope Community Church is looking for its next Pastor of Hispanic Ministry. The pastor who founded this ministry 16 years ago is leaving and we are excited to see who God brings to take this ministry forward into the future. New Hope is a Conservative Baptist Church whose purpose is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we have chosen to carry out our purpose is through ministry to Spanish speaking people in our community. Hermiston’s population is approximately 50% Hispanic and New Hope has consistently reached out to that population over the past 16 years building a ministry that is attended by approximately 80 on Sunday mornings.
The Hispanic Ministry is an integral part of what we do at New Hope. We often say New Hope is a congregation that speaks two languages. The Hispanic Ministry at New Hope is not a separate congregation but rather a ministry like any other in the church. The following are the preferred qualifications for this position.
-Be bilingual, able to preach and teach in both Spanish and English
-Have a Bachelors Degree in Bible or Ministry
-Have at least 5 years of experience on a church staff
-Agree with New Hope’s statement of faith
