Job Title Worship Leader
Employment status: Full-Time
Position Overview
The Worship Leader will use creativity to reflect God’s nature and beauty through music. Likewise, God’s character will be reflected in their creative approaches to leadership and team development. NewLife will experience God’s caring presence in fresh ways,
drawing them closer to Him and to each other. Guests at NewLife will be drawn to Him through authentic expressions of the grace and truth of Jesus. We are looking for a Worship Leader who is adaptable but also is able to lead the Church towards whats next.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Works with the Lead Pastor to create vision-focused and engaging worship service experiences.
• Develops and mentors vocal, instrumental and AV talent.
• Cultivates an atmosphere of humble, sacrificial excellence for Jesus, and grace-filled love for each other.
• Organizes, schedules and supervises volunteers for weekend programming (and special events), including weekly rehearsals.
• Procures music, adhering to all copyright requirements.
• Ensures music equipment is up-to-date and operational, working with vendors to maintain and service as needed.
Educational Requirement
• College degree in a related field is preferred.
Job Skills Required
• Needs to be a Spirit-Led/ Heart of Worship Leader
• Outstanding presentation skills & communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Understands music theory
• Experience managing & mentoring volunteers in a church environment
• Experience leading worship in a church setting
• Experience with and ability to utilize sound equipment, lighting, live streaming and computers.
*bonus-experience fluent in multiple instruments
*bonus- an understanding of tracks and how to best utilize them.
Software Knowledge
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effects etc. or related software.
