About First Assembly of God

Three times this word, “together” is mentioned in Acts 2:42-47. “All the believers were together… Every day they continued to meet together… They broke bread in their homes and ate together…” This is the key to everything we do! We weren’t meant to live the Christian life alone. I need you and you need me if we are ever going to be the church God wants us to be. They had all things in common even though they were from all ethnicities and socials levels. They didn’t focus on their differences. They focused on what they had in common. They were centered on Jesus. Therefore, this is our vision: “Loving & Living Life TOGETHER in Jesus!” We are to love life and love each other. We are called to do life together. And it’s all about Jesus! I truly believe if we love and live life together in Jesus that our church will thrive and grow and multiply. If we are that church that lives in unity and community, God will add to our number those being saved. So that is our vision, but we like to boil it down to a simple theme, and here it is: “Better Together.” We truly are better together than we are alone. This is who we strive to be at Bakersfield First Assembly.
