· High School Student Music Ministry
- Direct the high school choir Frontline
- Select music
- Plan and lead weekly rehearsals
• Includes planning/securing wardrobe, choreography design and training, preparing folders, practice tracks, maintaining library and scheduling maintenance of planning center
- Plan, schedule and direct periodic church service performances and annual special performances
- Recruit new members; by developing relationships with area high school choir directors, etc. in an effort to grow overall ministry
- Recruit and lead adult leadership to assist with Choir
- Regularly communicate with parents regarding scheduling, activities, expectations, etc.
- Invest in students by getting involved in their lives: going to concerts, ball games, visiting them at lunch, etc.
- Plan, arrange details, and implement annual mission tour (rotating from local – regional – national – international)
- Develop and direct a High School ensemble
- Plan and execute annual fundraising event for international mission tour.
· Middle School Student Choir/Creative Ministry
- Collaborate with Middle School Student Creative Director to set annual goals.
• Review goals and objectives quarterly
- Assist MSSCD with planning, scheduling, and implementation of individual arts programs, as well as performances
· Student Ministry Worship Program
- Recruit and develop Student Worship Band players and singers
- Schedule and lead weekly practices
- Coordinate with Minister of Students to develop a calendar for mid-week and special events for the Student Band
· College & Career/Young Adult Worship (Café Music)
- Recruit and develop C&C/Young Adult Worship Band
- Advise and coordinate with C&C/Young Adult leadership to develop a calendar for weekly and special events
· General Music Ministry Leadership/Duties
- Planning and managing budgets for High School, Middle School, Student Worship, and C&C/Young Adult Worship Programs
- Participate in a leadership role in weekly Sunday services (either singing, playing, or leading)
- Be available to fill Worship duties, as assigned, in the absence of the Minister of Music
- Contribute to creation, planning and implementation of all major music ministry events
- Assist other music staff members as needed
- Coordinate with Music team to explore and develop new opportunities for the Student Music Ministry
- Other duties as assigned
III. Requirements
- Clear Christian character and a growing faith that is passionate about sharing the Gospel and making disciples of Christ
- Competent in reading music and skilled vocally and/or at least one instrument
- Bachelor’s degree. Some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred
- 5 years or more experience in choral, instrumental and/or band leading preferred
- Experience in leading worship in an environment that includes choir, orchestra, band, singers, pipe organ, click tracks, multi-media, etc, preferred
- Physical demands may occasionally require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
