Worship Leader
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the part-time worship leader (between 15-20 hours per week) will be to lead and grow the music worship ministry at Blessed Hope Church. In short, this person is expected to be gifted in leading congregational worship, possess
leadership and organizational skills, and be a team player.

- Genuinely concerned for the spiritual health of the Blessed Hope Church family
- Maintains an attitude of prayer, humility, thanksgiving, generosity, creativity, and love by seeking Christ and regularly submitting to accountability
- A model of Christ-likeness in all areas of life. Humble, teachable, and moldable. A servant leader with a shepherd’s heart.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning music and leading the worship team with an eye towards our Sunday morning worship service.
- Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – which draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus
- Recruiting, teaching and training potential new worship team members to lead with excellence and humility
- Provide leadership, vision and passion for Blessed Hope in the area of music worship ministries that are in line with the overall vision, purpose and mission of Blessed Hope
- Proficiency to lead worship both vocally and instrumentally
- Develop and administer an annual budget and spending plan for worship and sound needs
- If available, attend staff meetings and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church
- Potential responsibilities may include preparing and overseeing AV/Production needs
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and/or the Elder Board

- Growing commitment to Christ, including a strong biblical foundation
- Love for the body of Christ at Blessed Hope Church
- Relational
- Committed to multiplication
- Has a heart for leading multi-generational worship
- Affirm and support Blessed Hope’s core beliefs statement
- Able and willing to become a covenant member of Blessed Hope
- Experience leading or being apprenticed to lead a Worship Team
