Children’s Pastor, Family Christian Center of Clermont

Family Christian Center (FCC) is a vibrant, multi-ethnic church poised for explosive growth and located in Clermont, Florida, 35 miles west of Orlando.  We are currently seeking a Children’s Pastor who will lead our children’s ministry to the next level.  The Children’s Pastor will provide general oversight to all aspects of the Children’s Ministry – responsible for recruiting, training, encouraging, and leading the children’s staff and volunteers. A little about us:
FCC was started in 1993 in the home of our senior pastor’s parents and has grown to a large multi-cultural campus where thousands of people visit each week.  We have also expanded to include five corporate divisions (Family Christian Center Church, Family Christian Center School, Family Christian Center Preschool, Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park and the Family Christian Center Food Bank).  From the campus sitting on 36 acres on Highway 27 in Clermont, our church exists to help all people develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus, find freedom from their past, discover their purpose and make a difference. Our foundation is built on practical Biblically based teaching, energetic worship and active outreach to our community and beyond.

The best person for this position thinks through both a pastoral and a leadership grid. The Children’s Ministry Pastor will have a strong commitment to the spiritual health of the children who attend FCC, and their parents as well as their volunteer leaders. The Children’s Ministry Pastor shall be a proven, effective teacher and administrator, capable of leading and challenging others in their responsibilities.   

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2 years experience
• Ability to interact with all kinds of people in a consistent, pleasant, loving, and helpful way
• Strong communication skills with the ability to both engage and lead children in ministry
• Able to actively engage parents and help connect them to Small Groups at FCC and offer resources to help equip them as they lead their child in his/her spiritual development
• Creative, highly organized, and effective in managing multiple priorities and assignments
• Proven ability to develop an idea or concept into an active ministry
• Skilled in identifying, developing and engaging volunteer leaders for the ministry
• Strong and consistent Biblical teaching ability with an ability to effectively communicate God’s word in various settings
• Must be willing to become an active member of Family Christian Center Church, attend at least one worship service weekly and support the vision, mission, purpose and core values of FCC
• Committed to maintaining the highest possible ministry standards and professional ethics privately and publicly
