Human Resources Director // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

Church mission
- Provide strategic leadership for the Eagle Brook Church Human Resources Team and HR functions. Drive ongoing HR initiatives, programs, and processes while adhering to legal obligations, standards, and procedures
- Facilitate performance management processes, manager/supervisor training, and provide coaching and mentoring. Talent Development functions reside in a different department, but interface regularly.
- Provide direction for recruitment, hiring, new employee orientation, onboarding, and college internship program
- Oversee the HRM system and the administration of benefits programs including health, dental, wellness, 403(b) life, AD&D and payroll
- Direct and maintain overall compensation philosophy, compensation structure, participate in industry specific annual salary surveys, and provide direction to Executive Team and managers on all compensation matters
- Selects and supervises HR staff, consultants, attorneys, and specialists, and coordinates use of health insurance brokers and carriers, administrators, and other outside resources
- Proactively look for opportunities to improve all HR areas, programs, practices, and procedures and keep management informed of new developments. Recommend new initiatives and/or changes to existing policies, programs, practices
- Develops and manages the annual HR budget
What You’ll Do // A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
- Lead Human Resources Team to provide excellent ongoing service, support, and assistance to the Eagle Brook Church staff
- Provide guidance, feedback, and consulting to the Executive Team, functional leaders, and staff regarding organizational, team, and individual development, challenges, and changes
- Participates in and supports training and coaching opportunities
- Establishes and leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and processes necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce
- Build trusting relationships with managers and staff in order to guide and support development. Active engagement as a mentor and one-on-one coach for managers and staff
- Engage in regular discussions and make decisions around benefits, compensation, HR processes, and policies
What We Expect // QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 8+ years)
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field
- Master’s degree in Human Resources is preferred
- PHR or SPHR certifications preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience leading HR professionals
- Experience partnering and collaborating with leaders, managers, and teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Experience with UltiPro (Ultimate Software) or other HRM systems is preferred
- Experience or understanding of Eagle Brook Church culture or similar large church environment is preferred
Work Schedule: Primarily Monday - Friday at the Central Office located in Centerville, MN
Classification: Exempt; Salary // Status: Full-Time //
