AWAKEN Wenatchee Church is looking for an amazing and innovative Children's Pastor to propel our Children's Ministry to the next level of advancing the kingdom of God! Our church is looking for someone who will cultivate the spiritual growth and development of children, ages birth to sixth grade. We want to add someone to our ministry team who has a passion and calling for kids along with a vision and a plan to create a growing and thriving Children's ministry. AWAKEN thrives on creative freedom and we are looking for a young energetic pastor to manage a children's ministry team so that we can share with Children the love of Jesus in new and exciting ways!
Qualifications
- A Believer who has been specifically called to pastor children and families
- Has a passion and love for children and families
- Strong Organizational and Leadership skills
- Ability to build and lead volunteer teams
- Experience working with children and parents preferable
Responsibilities
- Pray for the children and family at AWAKEN
- Oversee all programming and ministry for children ages birth through 6th grade
- Implement and maintain procedures for the health and safety of the children.
- Choose and prepare curriculum for each program and each age level.
- Create environments, activities and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
- Recruit, train, schedule and lead teams of volunteers.
- Provide care for children and families within the church including hospital visits and follow-up.
- Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families.
- Implement and maintain classroom management
- Plan and oversee special events such as VBS, Fall Festival, Baby Dedications, etc…
AWAKEN Wenatchee is a creative group of people who strive to live an Only God lifestyle, awaken God given gifts, and risk everything to reach everyone. We began in January 2013 and have grown from four people to six hundred in the last three years and are still growing. We have a radical love for Jesus Christ and thrive in a Creative atmosphere to reach the lost. We are currently in the process of moving into a new larger facility to accommodate current and future growth and are looking for a children’s pastor to enter the next phase of our journey with us!
