First Christian Church is located in the small, Northeast Kansas community of Atchison. We are within an hour of Kansas City and have approximately 371 participating members. The Church is a beacon for the hungry in our community ministering to all that live and work in our comunity and county. Our congregation is a very giving and compassionate one with members being very active in the community.
Our Sunday service is a blended traditional/contemporary service including music provided by a Choir and Praise team. We have a very well attended Vacation Bible School and youth programs and would like to increase participation in these programs.
We are searching for a Pastor to guide us into the future following our Mission of "Leading and loving people into a deeper relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Our VISION is to be a community of faith where all people are welcome and encouraged to ... MEET with God and others through worship, fellowship and prayer. To GROW in our knowledge and experience of God's love and his plan for our lives. And, to SHARE God's message of faith, hope and love through our words and through our actions.
