LCC is a medium sized church on the northern half of Longview, TX. We have a heart for community and connecting in relationships of mutual encouragement and discipleship. We place a high value on scripture and cultivating opportunities to engage with God’s word. Our Sunday Morning services are identical and contemporary, led by a dedicated team of volunteer musicians and singers. Our deepest desire is to see believers living life in light of the work of Christ–equipped and empowered to make a difference. Staff and Ministry Culture
Sometimes it can go without saying, but we expect all members of our staff to be fully devoted disciples of Jesus who are on a mission to know him more on a personal level. With this as a given, our office functions with a few values shaping our culture.
We value chemistry. We have a great group assembled and are looking to add someone that makes us better while being able to work in a team based environment. Supporting one another is non-negotiable, and it’s more important to us to wait for the right person than to add the wrong person quickly.
We value humility. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. Though we strive to get better in our pursuit of Christ, improving in our various disciplines and trusting that the giver of every good gift will do his work in us, we know we may not always get things right the first time.
We value dedication. We don’t let our brokenness stand in the way or serve as an excuse to keep us from our pursuit of making a Kingdom impact. We genuinely believe in what we are doing as outlined in our mission statement and the life we have been called to live. We have set ourselves to run our race with intentionality, in Paul’s words, to win.
We value presence. We cannot escape the relational nature of who we are. The best plans are hatched and the deepest conversations are held sitting across the table and being present with those with whom we are in the trenches and in our care. The community encouraged in our ministries is first modeled amongst our staff.
Job Title: Youth Minister
Longview Christian Church is looking to hire a Youth Minister to assist in providing visionary leadership within the church’s mission of introducing messy people to Jesus so that they, too, can change and experience the new life that our Lord came to offer. Part of what this Youth Minister will be responsible for is planning, coordinating, and implementing the worship, community, and service opportunities for students, grades 6 -12 in an effort to help change lives and have a kingdom impact.
