Wellspring Church is a younger (7-year-old), thriving, grace-oriented, relational church, located just north of Raleigh, NC, in beautiful Wake Forest. We exist to help people Know God, Find Freedom, Discover their Purpose and Make a Difference in their world.
We are dedicated to helping people experience the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ, and encouraging them to take their next step of faith.
We highly value students and believe they are an integral part of the Church and are key players in the Kingdom. We desire a student leader who can lead and inspire them to be fully alive in Jesus and fully engaged in his mission.
THE POSITION:
We are excited to find a Next Generation Pastor who is a relational leader passionate about discipling students and developing their spiritual gifts. Ideal characteristics include being highly relational, forward-looking, spiritually mature, and a multiplying leader.
Wellspring Students currently averages 40 students at their weekly gatherings and has seven highly engaged leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vision, strategy, and development for the Student Ministry (6th-12th Grade)
- Lead, recruit, train, and oversee ministry team volunteers
- Foster an inviting, authentic, and fun culture in which students can experience a life-giving relationship with Jesus and others
- Develop and oversee the budget and expenses for all Student Ministry Programs
- Oversee the Children’s Ministry Leader to help strengthen the children’s ministry
- Organize and conduct camps, retreats, service opportunities and events for ministry
- Partner with parents in the development of their child’s relationship with Jesus
- Mobilize students to both grow in their faith and to be outwardly focused in reaching their peers for Jesus
- Create a long-term path for the Children, Student, and College ministrie
Skills & Qualifications:
- Evident relationship with Jesus Christ
- Spiritually and emotionally healthy
- 3-5+ years of relevant ministry experience, preferably in Student or Pastoral Ministry
- Ability to connect with and lead students and their families
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Outstanding organizational skills, but also flexible and adaptable
- Strong people skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong work ethic, a self-starter, and can manage your own schedule
- Ability to recruit and train leaders
- Ability to equip parents to shepherd their children
- Ability to recruit, organize, inspire, and mobilize ministry teams
- Willing to do other duties assigned
