Fresh Encounter Church is an exciting, contemporary church in Southwest Iowa. Fresh Encounter was started in 2005 by a group of families seeking to worship God together without the burdens of denominational traditions and church policy. Those families laid the groundwork for a worship environment where believers could be united on the essential tenets of Christian faith, while being free to draw their own biblically informed conclusions on doctrines that have been debated by faithful believers for centuries. Throughout its history, Fresh Encounter has met in a coffee shop type environment and worshiped with high quality contemporary music. We hold to the authority of the Bible as we emphasize God’s grace to a hurting world.
Our core values are expressed in these four words: Encounter, Explore, Connect, Restore. We desire that everyone will Encounter the true God of the Bible, and to Explore who He is and who we are in Him. We believe it is vital to Connect with other people on this journey, and even more important than that is our foundational Connection to God. It is God who Restores us into a new creation and He calls us to work alongside Him in the work of Restoration of broken people. Our goal for our worship services is that people will feel free to come as they are, but through the power of God they will leave changed.
