Orchard Ridge Church is a Nazarene church located in Washington, Michigan founded in 2003 by the current pastor, Rev. Steve Barkey. After years of functioning as a portable church in the public schools, Orchard Ridge will enter its new church building this fall on its 23-acre property surrounded by new housing growth and development. We place high value in community, both inside the church with loving and friendly fellowship, and outside the church with several community focused ministries including an active relationship with local school systems. Our worship services are described as authentic with a song selection that is both current and relevant. Our preaching is God focused, Scripture based, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and bold with the gospel. Our fellowship has numerous small groups to connect and build relationships. We are committed to providing a home and hope for those who are hurting from broken relationships and the consequences of sin. Our mission is to be a family of faith in North Macomb County, Michigan by providing a healthy Christian environment that facilitates healing, nurture, and spiritual growth. Where the lost are found, the found are discipled, and the disciples serve.
