St. Paul's Lutheran Church is located in Decatur, in the heart of Central Illinois. An LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) Congregation established in 1864, SPL is proud to continue to serve the generations of families in the Decatur community and surrounding areas for over 159 years. SPL is a church where those longing for a different life find a grace-filled life in Jesus. We are set apart in our community in the way we are able to equip families and children as they learn, develop, and grow individually and in relationship with one another through the worship and ministry within the church and through our St. Paul's Early Learning Center and Unity Christian School (a ministry of the Lutheran School Association). We currently engage regularly in corporate worship with over members and attenders, and offer both in-person and online worship through three services each weekend (Saturday 6:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM), in midweek worship seasonally (Advent and Lent, Wednesdays 12:00 PM & 6:30 PM), and through special worship services (ex. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Holy Week & Easter, Night of Worship and Prayer services). We are blessed by the many who serve at SPL, from vocal and instrumental musicians engaged with Praise Team and Adult Choir, to Ushers, Readers, SPL Kids, SPL Youth, and other behind the scenes volunteers. SPL is comprised of multiple ministry areas, including SPL Kids and SPL Youth, Men's and Women's Ministry, Love217, and more.
