WHO WE ARE

Ekklesia is the New Testament Greek term for assembly or congregation. Never has this word referred to a building, but rather a group of people. After Jesus died on the cross and sent the Holy Spirit, the term ‘ekklesia’ gained further meaning. It became the name for the early group of people who trusted in Jesus as their Savior; it was the name for the early church. We long for the same passion and desire of the early ekklesia.

OUR MISSION

To make disciples of Jesus in our cities and beyond.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20.

WE BELIEVE
God is the only true God | Deuteronomy 6:4; John 17:3
Existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit

Jesus Christ is God | John 1:1; Titus 2:13
He is the Son of God who became a man to save us from the penalty of sin (Philippians 2:4-11; John 3:15-16)
He died, was buried, then He rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Today, He is seated at the right hand of God, ministering as the Head of the Church

The Holy Spirit is God | Acts 5:3-4
He works to draw those who don’t believe to Christ
He lives in those who believe to mature them so they can glorify God (Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:18)

Man has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God | Romans 3:23
Man sins because they are sinners from birth (Psalm 51:5)
The consequences of sin are spiritual death and eternal separation from God in Hell (Ephesians 2:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15)

Jesus died on the cross for our sins | 1 Corinthians 15:3
His substitutionary death on the cross enables those who trust in Him as Savior from sin to be forgiven completely (Romans 2:21-26; 8:1)
Once a person is saved, they are saved forever
(John 6:39-40; 10:28-29; Romans 38-39; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 2:8-9; 4:30; Jude 24)
