4 the early Christians had been imprisoned for their bold faith. Upon their release, rather than being silenced, they actually prayed for more boldness. In suburban, Mid-western culture we too often settle for apathetic, consumeristic, hold-the-latte faith…we
must live with great boldness as the early Christians! Unfortunately too often when Americans live their faith boldly it’s done at the expense of others. Jesus came to bring both truth AND grace…the early Christians boldness was truly lived in love! Each of
us as followers of Jesus must live boldly and love deeply in our spheres of influence, so that we might help those in need and proclaim the Kingdom of God until Jesus returns! OUR TWO-FOLD MISSION: HELPING THOSE IN NEED & SHARING OUR FAITH CORE VALUES As we
live out our mission and create the culture describe, we do so with these five values in mind: 1. PASSIONATE WORSHIP – We love to whole-heartedly worship God! 2. SPIRITUAL APPRENTICESHIP – We make disciples, who make disciples. 3. INTENTIONAL MISSION – We
seek to live on two-fold mission using our time, talents and treasures to expand God’s Kingdom! 4. UNIFIED COMMUNITY – No one should ever feel alone at Mercy Road! We desire to be unified in our pursuit of Christ. 5. STRATEGIC GENEROSITY – We want to be a
generous church! We seek to become a church that gives 50% our our financial resources away to help those in need and share our faith around the world!
