Currently Lakes Church is looking for a full-time Mature Adult Pastor. Candidates should have at least five years’ adult ministry experience in a growing church, a seminary degree from an approved seminary, and demonstrate a passion to minister to adults that are 60+ years of age. Lakes Church is a thriving, multi-campus Southern Baptist Church located in the rapidly growing I-4 corridor of Central Florida. Dr. Aaron Burgner is our senior pastor and he is leading Lakes Church with sound, conservative, expositional preaching to be a beacon of Biblical truth in our world today. We have over 6,000 members, and before Covid average worship attendance was 2400 and Bible study was 1400. Currently we average 1700 in worship and 1000 in Bible study.
With over 1,100 church members 60 years of age or older and thousands more moving to our area each year, we are looking for an individual who has an evident, vibrant walk with Jesus Christ, a love for the bride of Christ, a desire to support the leadership of our senior pastor, and the energy and passion to reach, lead, disciple, and care for mature-age adults.
