Lakeside Baptist Church is located in Salem, Virginia and is part of the Greater Roanoke Valley. The Roanoke and Salem area is in Southwest Virginia and located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The ministry has been in existence since 1970 and has approximately 450-500 members and regular attendees. Lakeside is an Independent, Fundamental Baptist church reaching out to Salem, the Roanoke Valley, the surrounding community and the world through Missions Outreach. Our congregation is a multi-generational church that is reached through practical preaching, teaching and prayer. Lakeside’s worship services and ministries have a gifted membership with talented musicians, drama and creative arts. These elements are incorporated into our blended worship services and Sunday School programs. The overall goal of the Worship Ministry at Lakeside Baptist Church is to provide a Christ-centered worship experience that is accessible to people of any background. We do this by using the Scriptures to drive our worship, and by successfully blending contemporary Christian music, hymns, praise choruses, drama, and personal testimonies during the service.
