About our church and community:
First Baptist Church Vincennes is located in rural southwestern Indiana. We are located 50 miles south of Terre Haute and 50 miles north of Evansville. First Baptist Vincennes has a rich heritage of 152 years in serving a congregation from a 45 minute radius of Vincennes.
God has called FBC Vincennes to be a multi-generational, diverse and mixed demographic congregation from all walks of life. Our congregation is committed to building bridges for real transformation in the lives of families and people.
We have extensive programming for all ages including a special program called Axcess, which serves an average of 30 special needs adults each week. Also, with the recent expansion of our children’s wing and improvements for our youth area, we are committed to our families growing together and developing a close, personal relationship to God. We offer a variety of small groups for people to select from in order to become more connected within our church, all with the ultimate goal of bringing glory to God.
We are a congregation committed to community outreach along with being involved with regional and world missions. We financially support several local projects as well as offer opportunities for mission trips.
Vincennes is a city of 20,000 people and is rich in history. The mansion of our nation’s ninth President is located near the campus of Vincennes University, Indiana’s First College. Good Samaritan Hospital, a state of the art medical center, serves ten counties and employs 1,900 employees.
