High Desert Church's purpose is to prepare every generation to change their worlds for Christ!
Located in the High Desert of Southern California, HDC has been working and growing since 1965 to reach the High Desert for Jesus and to encourage and equip believers to accept their personal mission to engage with the 8-15 people God has placed on the front row of their relational world. God has blessed the ministry efforts over the decades and allowed HDC to expand its footprint to include three ministry sites strategically positioned around the High Desert.
HDC seeks to fulfill our purpose within the framework of our core values:
1) Truthful - We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God; that it is not simply another tool that one can draw on from life's smorgasbord of self-improvement resources; and that it is true all the time, for everyone in every generation.
2) Helpful - We believe that God's people should leave every church experience feeling confident that the principles they heard or the encouragement they received will make them more effective world-changers.
3) Durable - We believe that a local church should be structured in such a way as to provide for effective ministry through multiple generation cycles, depending less on the personality of a single leader and more on the team model of leadership.
4) Enjoyable - We believe that there is no good reason for church to be boring, that both spiritual enrichment and personal enjoyment can coexist.
Part of the success of HDC’s ministry has been the incredible ministry staff members that join the HDC family. Their contributions of competence and craft support the overall mission and ministry to reach the High Desert. HDC’s team culture is deeply rooted in the desire to operate as a ministry family through healthy collaboration and deference, as the team works together to accomplish ministry goals.
