Director of Children's Ministries

The Chambersburg First Church of God is looking for a Director/Pastor of Children’s Ministry.

Oversee a children’s ministry from birth to 5th grade

Must possess:
• Passionate growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Bachelor’s degree
• Children’s Ministry leadership experience.
• Passion for children
• Creativity with innovative outreach events and ideas
• Excellent people skills
• Great team building skills

Duties include:
• Dreaming, planning and organizing a growing children’s ministry program and having the stamina and desire to take the ministry to the next level
• Oversee Children’s Ministry programming for three time periods on Sunday mornings and the children’s part of an active family night ministry program on Wednesday evenings.
• Volunteer recruitment, training and support
• Providing leadership and supervision to the Children’s Ministry team.
• Guiding and aligning age appropriate curriculum for use in all children’s ministry programs
• Teaming with other church staff to build all ministries of the church

The Chambersburg First Church of God is a fast growing evangelical church with an attendance of 850 people that has an active children’s ministry program with 200 children. Within the past two years we have moved into a brand new facility on a 24 acre campus. We are a congregation that is filled with diversity of ages and backgrounds and offers multiple worship styles that minister to that diversity.

Chambersburg is a city of 16,000 and is part of a fast growing area on the 1-81corridor in south central Pennsylvania. It is a great place to raise a family and has been selected by several national publications as one of their top cities and towns to live in and raise a family.
