Glad Tidings church is located in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Cedar Falls is home to 40,000 residents and over 13,000 students enrolled at the University of Northern Iowa. UNI is located within 1 mile of Glad Tidings Church and has an active Chi Alpha ministry. There are many opportunities available here with an extensive trail system, sporting events and theatre performances.
Our church ministers to people of all ages from the greater Cedar Valley’s surrounding communities, through church services, multiple small groups, Proxy youth group and children’s ministries. Our Sunday attendance averages 160-165.
Job Overview: We believe the Senior Pastor that God has chosen for Glad Tidings will be a spirit-led, dynamic leader, with vision and passion for people and for God’s work through this local church. They will have strong communications skills (both in the pulpit and interpersonally), and a strength for developing leadership qualities in others. Their previous experiences will be the right foundation for this position, at this church, at this time. Dynamic preaching/teaching, focus on Evangelism and administration are additional strengths we desire.
Requirements
- Currently ordained or licensed (seeking ordination) minister of the Assembly of God church
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experienced in supervising pastoral staff and lay leadership
- Demonstrated growth in areas of ministry
- Spirit-led: operating in the gifts of the spirit

We have a children’s ministry for infants and everything up to fifth grade. Simply ask our Guest Services team on the morning you attend and we will be happy to escort you and your family to the proper place. In addition to kids ministry, we also have an incredible youth program from those in 6th grade to graduating high school seniors.
